Barcode Licence

A barcode, short for bar code, is a small image of lines (bars) and spaces that is affixed to retail store items, identification cards, and postal mail to identify a particular product number, person, or location. Barcodes use a sequence of vertical bars and spaces to represent numbers and other symbols, and they can be read by an optical scanner or a barcode reader. Barcodes are widely used in various industries and applications, such as supermarkets, libraries, manufacturing, and logistics, to track items, inventory, and employee working hours.

An organization called GS1 India oversees and encourages barcode usage throughout the nation. The widely accepted GS1 standards offer a framework for distinctively identifying goods, places, and assets. In order to put these standards into practice and guarantee accurate and timely information sharing throughout the supply chain, GS1 India collaborates with companies.
