SRTEPC Registration (Synthetic & Rayon Textile Export Promotion Council)
The Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC) is one of the oldest export promotion bodies in India, established under the Ministry of Textiles. It plays a key role in promoting the export of synthetic fibers, rayon fabrics, man-made textiles, polyester yarns, blended fabrics and other textile-based products worldwide.
Over the years, the Indian synthetic textile industry has seen remarkable export growth. From negligible export numbers in the 1960s, the sector crossed USD 6.16 Billion by FY 2013–14 and is now supplying to over 140+ countries globally. Today, the MMF (Man-Made Fiber) segment contributes nearly 17% of India’s total textile exports, and this share continues to rise.
SRTEPC registration enables exporters to access various government-backed benefits, schemes, incentives, and trade support aimed at increasing global competitiveness and export reach.
What is SRTEPC Registration?
Exporters dealing with synthetic, rayon, and man-made fiber products must obtain a Registration-Cum-Membership Certificate (RCMC) from SRTEPC. The process is completed online through the official portal. Once approved, businesses become eligible for export incentives and support under the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP).
